Time for some men: there is this divide between male chefs and female chefs. There are stereotypes, there are cooking wars. But why? Why are there so few female chefs in the spotlight and why do all the men stand together in the top 10 chefs of America list? Is it because theyre proud of conquering the womans sphere? Is it because they believe women are just doing what theyre supposed to do so its no big whoop if they happen to be good at it? What do you think? Thats what The Spattered Spatula is for; to give women a space to connect in culinary sisterhood if nothing else (like being a woman or a girlfriend or a mom or a sister), but at the same time, it would be interesting to hear the mens side of cooking too. So Im reading these two books. What do you all think?
