Time for the Monday Classic Drag Racing Handout Of The Day! Todays handout depicts Erica Enders (aka Erica Enders-Stevens) and her Slammers sponsored Pro Stock 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. Erica started racing at the very young age of 8 in a Junior Dragster. In Junior Dragster, she picked up 37 wins in 8 years of racing. So good of a racer was she that they made her life story made into the Disney Original Movie Right On Track in 2003. In 2004, she scored her first NHRA national event win behind the wheel of a Super Gas car. In 2005, she advanced to the Pro Stock class, and has been there ever since. In 2006, she became the first woman to qualify No. 1 in Pro Stock. In 2012, she became the first woman to win a national event in Pro Stock. To her credit, Erica has amassed 13 NHRA national event wins (1 Super Gas, 12 Pro Stock). And, to top it off, she won the 2014 NHRA Pro Stock World Championship title. She is the first woman in NHRA history to do so. Are there more wins in store for Erica? Im sure there are.
