Time for the Tuesday Classic Drag Racing Handout Of The Day! Today I bring you John Brute Force, and his Castrol GTX / Jolly Rancher sponsored 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Funny Car. Over the course of his racing career, John Force has amassed 141 national event wins, and 16 NHRA Funny Car World Championship titles. His first NHRA national event win came at the 1987 le Grandnational. Before that win, he had been to the final round nine times without winning. Persistence paid off, and he finally got his first win. And that was the start of many, many more over the years. He is the oldest NHRA World Champion in drag racing history at the age of 65. Now, with Peak as his new sponsor for 2015, it will be interesting to see how John Force does.
