Time for the new years countdown, doing something new in the meanwhile. That is, this years countdown is gonna be the ten best Disney musical scores. In my opinion. Five rules: 1: It has to be Disney. Not Disney Pixar or any other thing Disney happened to own. 2: It doesnt have to be the Disney Animated Canon. As long as its 3: Its not just the songs. Its the entire soundtrack. 4: No, I wont listen through every soundtrack Disney ever made. Ill take the ones I know I like. 5: Fantasia does not count. Its my favorite Disney-movie, but Im looking at original scores and not gathering other composers pieces. Also, bares repeating - IN MY OPINION. With all that in mind~ Number 10~ THE LION KING Even after this entire speech, I bet someones gonna rage at me for this at the top. And Im gonna be honest - it HAS probably the best villain song in all of Disney. I love Be Prepared. And it has one great Hans Zimmer-score, and it has all the Elton John-songs, but... Its really not as strong as I remember as a kid. Maybe its because Ive watched it to pieces, maybe its because Im sort of tired of everyone gushing about the amazing thing with it, but Im here like... Its a great score. Still one of Disneys best - but the 10 best, that is.
