Time...for us is ticking away Forever progressing, never stays Time...I gotta live for today Ive less tomorrows now than yesterdays Now as my life approaches...my autumn years I cast my mind back and Ive had a lot to cheer My folks didnt have much money...but they gave me love And a good start in life that Im grateful of They taught me the difference between right and wrong To respect my elders, tolerate others and get along Dont judge others by the colour of their skin Accept a persons right to their chosen religion Time...for us is ticking away Forever progressing, never stays Time...I gotta live for today Ive less tomorrows now than yesterdays Looking back in time Ive had a very good life With two great sons and a loving wife Ive been fortunate to enjoy good health Far more important than having a vast wealth And now I have a granddaughter, a real cutie Blue eyes, blonde hair, a fabulous beauty And time just flies when were together Rain or shine, whatever the weather Time...for us is ticking away Forever progressing, never stays Time...I gotta live for today Ive less tomorrows now than yesterdays Looking back Id say my life has been a success And Im grateful for all the things I possess Got a smile on my face, no reason to feel sad Ive had far more good times than Ive had bad The older I get, the faster time goes With things to do it keeps me on my toes And believe me, theres no reason or rhyme To change things cos Im having a fabulous time A fabulous time.
