Time of the year for me when birthday and memories flood my mind and grey my hair. For now, a shout out to my Dad. Technically he was born on the 16th, but since Papaw took a Biblical view on time, since Dad was born on a Friday night the 16th, Papaw took a Biblical view on the evening and the morning marked the day, so Dad became a St Patricks Day Baby. Family legend aside, My Dad loved the Lord and in his career as a Pastor, He always believed in Evangelism and I know growing up, He always would look to bring a Series of meetings to his church to help it grow and reach out to the community with the Gospel story. Ive been blessed to hear some exciting gospel messages from some of the most Heaven blessed Men to answer the call of the Gospel. We even traveled with an Evangelistic team back in my early days with Elden Walters and Richard Lange, with my Dad handling the behind the scenes interaction with the church pastor and members. So I know he would be both pleased and excited to see that his Son has found his way onto an Evangelistic team of his own on a Lay member basis, as Roswell has given Birth to a Lay Evangelistic team featuring Elder Steve Henry preaching the word, and Connected providing the music. My Dad would appreciate Steves preaching from the Bible, and I know he would love the harmony that Dora and I bring to our music as well as our individual songs as well. The Lord blessed the teams first effort in Carlsbad as 2 new members were added to the family of God. We now are preparing for a weekend seminar on End time Events this weekend at the Roswell SDA Church. Steve will deliver the word and Dora and I will providing music and a Concert Sabbath afternoon, and we have a new duet number we will debut then. So pray for the team as we seek to be used of God to encourage the faithful and reach outside church walls to let others know we are here to lift up the trumpet and Loud let it Ring, because Jesus is Coming again. For my Dad, Happy Birthday, your Son is doing his best to continue the family legacy of Passin the Faith along. My prayer is that I Honor God, My Father and all those Great Men of Faith who led out in Evangelistic campaigns in My Dads churches throughout the years. Trust me when I say Elden Walters, Richard Lange, Jere Webb, Herman Harp, Max Mace, Morris Venden and all the other Ministers who blessed my Heart with their Passion for God and their mission to make a difference in the world for Heavens sake. Well you did in mine, God Bless each of you for your kindness to a Preachers son who grew up with a fuller understanding Of Gods Love and the joy of the Righteousness by Faith message, that have helped turn me from an Adventist Christian into a Christian Adventist, who now has the honor and challenge of following in their footsteps, to work with and support Elder Steve and work to develop and define the musical sound of Connected with Dora, so that Souls can be won for the Kingdom.
