Time to catch yall up. Found a car, finally, after my wreck. (Is it just me, or is it kinda getting weird how many wrecks are going on right now? Like major ones, every day! Way more than normal!) Trick or treated as Dracula and Mavis from Hotel Transylvania. Watched daddy participate in he truck pull (teams pull the fire truck by a rope in a race). Then last night austin came down with a pretty awful tummy bug, and ran low fever today. But he is feeling better now, talking away, getting right in my face as Im typing this (and not paying attention to him) saying HEWOOOO (hello). We are headed to ft worth next week for a couple of appointments, one of which will be with both the neurosurgeon and the craniofacial surgeon together to decide what to do about Austins skull. There was so much brain damage that when the damaged tissue broke down his brain shrank by about 1/4 of its total size. Now, his skull plates overlap each other, and if not for his wavy longer hair, it would look pretty scary. You can see it if you go back to some of his earlier photos before he had so much hair. Last time it was discussed, they were thinking they would do a fairly non invasive surgery and just put bone grafting under his scalp to smooth out the overlap on top and in the back of his head. Anyway, we will see next week.
