Time to change definitions **************************** 1. ‘Criminals’ and ‘corrupt’ *********************** Every political party is accusing the other of having ‘corrupt’ and criminal’ elements, but as ‘hammaam mein sabhee nanggey hein’( everybody is naked in the bathroom), this definition needs a change. As criminals and corrupt have now become the integral part of our political system, no party can imagine its survival without them. And so, instead of accusing each other on this count, all parties must declare the list of ‘ honest and non-criminals’ in their respective governments and ranks, and the one with the highest number must be declared as ‘ honest. We may remember that few years back U.P. I.A.S. Association held a secret ballot to decide ‘the most corrupt officer’, implying that all are corrupt, and so it is not the question of honesty, but the higher or lower grades in corruption. 2. List of Holidays ********************* It is the phase when every caste, sub-caste, creed, sub-creed and religious sect is searching its own icon and demanding the holiday on his death or birth anniversary. The governments, in order to please them add one or more holidays every year, and the list is now getting longer and longer, so instead of the list of holidays, there must be the list of ‘ opening days’. 3 . ‘ Secular’ and ‘communal’. ****************************** This distinction,I think, is already crystal clear, especially for Muslims, and simply needs some elaboration. Any hardcore member of ‘Hindutwa brigade’, even the accused of the Babri Masjid demolition or of engineering worst type of communal riots, if he joins any of the so-called secular parties, he becomes ‘secular’. On the contrary, if a person of the so-called secular parties joins B.J.P. or any other ‘Hindutwa outfit’, he becomes ‘communal’ and ‘fascist’.
