It used to be a benefit that for a $25.99 fee per ROUND-TRIP ticket, you could get $2.5 million in flight insurance, even if the round trip was completed on 2 different airlines. Now, apparently, they charge you $25.99 for each ticket on a round trip if it is on two different airlines. Time to wave bye-bye to American Express. They are now as bad as mortgage bankers.
