Time to meditate-----------by Thomas Reeves 3/11/14 Jesus was being truthful when saying foxes have holes, and birds have nests., they know them instantly when a pack of hounds are coming close, the bird goes to the nest in the storm, the little ones are comforted under her wings. Psalms 55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. Jesus had no rest, no place to lay his head, in other words the meaning is, the mission is on a certain time table, it must be completed! The time of the great feast will come, and like Baptist, the Jews loved the feast times, now I could put Holy Church of Christ in there but there are way more Baptist, or Church of God! We all look and plan for those feast days, homecoming, special times of the Church to gather and eat, sing, and have communion. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. Matt. 8:22. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. Luke 9: 60. Many followed Jesus for brief periods in the effort to bring salvation to His chosen people. The trouble with following Jesus in our own thinking and our own pattern of behavior is that we are not really following Him we are following the crowd, Jesus states clearly in these two passages of scripture the importance of being completely sold out, singleness of mind, duty demands it of the messenger, souls are in danger until they receive the Word of God. Jesus in chapter ten of Lukes Gospel, appoints seventy to go before him to let the cities know He was coming soon,The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. The call must come from God, if its your idea to just go and join up, where is the purpose? Where is the Spark to light the fuse to the Dynamics of Jesus Christ, if you have not the Holy Spirit guiding you? Receiving that breath of Heaven our own self, personally, gives us power over the enemy, And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you., Jesus when choosing you, knew you, from the very womb of your mother before you were born! Our work like theirs, is above worldly thinking or comprehension for we must look to the Author and Finisher of our faith, remember how the seventy felt when they returned to Jesus? 16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. This is the Great Message to be taught today, of following the proven pathway that Jesus Christ has laid down for us all, no other foundation could we build upon, that will hold up the weight of all our hopes and dreams, and the eternal value of Heaven.
