Time to post some serious Babymetal material on this site. I went back and found Ive actually covered little of their actual music videos - while tracking their global rise to fame. Yes, I found out about them in mid-October... decided to check it out... and have decided - the advent of Babymetal on a global scale in 2014 - was very, very important in ways no one foresaw. The songs are not just about bubblepop subjects. The band is mega-talented and legendary in their individual mastery of their instruments. Babymetal shows are bringing together people from across the planet, of all ages, interests, and cultural definitions. It is the old saying that The Whole is Greater than the Sum of the Parts. This is the first song I want to review: Megitsune. In Japan, the Fox is thought of in mythology as a magical creature - with the ability to change into other forms - hence, the name of the song, Megitsune - a female human with spirit overshadowed by the Fox. Women are Actresses... they smile on the outside and cry within... - and will not be broken by foolish convention. Suzuka Nakamoto was 16 when this was recorded. She is a powerful young talent who sings this song to perfection. Think what you may, but Babymetal ROCKS. https://youtube/watch?v=lixqbTQfghs
