Time to review local police militarization? It is all just a natural course of Natural Law and Human Nature, and the last gasps of a form of government we should have been protecting much more. Each individual had the Right and Obligation of certain natural, essential, and unalienable rights and among these is the right of enjoying and defending their lives and liberties. Therefore, we as an individual are obliged to contribute to the expense of this protection, to give our personal service or other when necessary. We do so because our laws caution us, as standing armies in the time of peace are dangerous to liberty and our laws accordingly placed this responsibility in the hands of the individual. We ought to know the happiness of a people, and the good order and preservation of civil government, essentially depend upon piety, religion and morality of the individual and this ought not come from a government. When the burden of self governance is replaced by a public government the force necessary grows in proportion to the loss of self governance. As this force grows, it becomes a standing army and a Police State wherein the individual no longer has control. In this, a few bad apples do spoil the whole bunch, as we are perceived and act as an unjust society then we are all treated unjustly according to Natural Law and Human Nature.
