Time to share! This post has a bit of a story behind it. Through this page and through a few crafty groups here on Facebook, I have come to know some amazing people. I have loved interacting with all of you, and your wonderful encouragement has helped to keep me plugging along with my dragons and doing my best to improve them every time I make one. Through some of these conversations, I have made a few new, amazing friends. And one of these dear ladies is Michelle. A couple of months ago, Michelle commissioned me to make a moon dragon as a birthday present for another very talented artist- Ms. Nicola over at Elvenspun. Do you remember the moon with the tulips? That was hers. It was an incredible opportunity for me because I have followed Nicola for awhile now- since before I even started a page of my own- and I have always, always loved her work. It is just so quirky and unique and seriously adorable. The chance to make something for an artist I admired was almost too good to be true. Well, as you know, I just got back from a long trip, and when I got home, there was a box from Elvenspun waiting for me. Michelle had been at it again! Unbeknownst to me, she had commissioned Nicola to make me something, too! What could it be? What I found in that box was beyond anything I could have imagined! Three snail dragons! I had always wanted one of those! But these were so very special to me. Nicola and Michelle had both read my book, and they conspired together to make three snail dragons based on the three main characters of Mystian Dawning. They even made sure that they all had the correct eye colors- can you believe it? It has been four days since I received this amazing gift, and I still cant help but feel touched every time I see these guys. I cant tell you how much it means to me that my characters mean something- not only to me- but to Nicola and Michelle, as well. Nicola took such care with them, and that will always mean the world to me. Thank you, ladies. I am truly blessed to have you in my world!
