Time to share more amazing things about our Principal Mr. Dave Linzey! We have heard how Dave has helped our school as a whole, what he has done specifically for students and now it is time to hear about what he has done for the TEACHERS of Clayton Valley Charter! No one can argue with the incredible school wide achievement results that Dave Linzey spearheaded in the FIRST YEAR of our schools existence as a CHARTER...now lets take a little peak into how we were able to get those AWESOME results! It is extremely apparent that Dave Linzeys experience and leadership had A LOT to do with it! It is a great time to be a teacher at Clayton Valley! 1. Dave put nearly a million dollars into technology hardware and infrastructure. 2. Dave provided an unlimited copy budget for teachers to have the needed instructional materials for classroom instruction. 3. LCD projectors were purchased and provided for each teacher. 4. Dave instigated extensive Summer Professional Development opportunities for teachers which include: a. Summer Curriculum Programs b. Summer Character Counts Workshop c. Summer Technology Institute d. Summer Model Schools Conference e. Summer Advanced Placement Conferences 5. Dave developed curriculum instructional guides focusing on the high priority state standards which need to be mastered by students for academic success in high school, college and in the workplace. 6. Benchmark exams were developed and implemented to assess how well each student and classroom is learning in comparison to the instructional guides. 7. The Illuminated data management system was purchased and implemented to support teachers and administration in data analysis and development of the benchmark exams.
