Time to spare post of the day... err.. month. A song, the arrangement of which is based on the Fibonacci sequence-a series of numbers where after two starting values, each number is the sum of the two preceding values. It is readily found in nature from shell spirals, flower petals, leaf arrangements, the human hand, and even the Milky Way galaxy. Notice below the numeric value of each syllable in the first and second stanza. Black 1 then 1 white are 2 all I see 3 in my infancy. 5 Red and yellow then came to be, 8 reaching out to me, 5 lets me see. 3 As below so above and beyond I imagine,13 drawn beyond the lines of reason. 8 Push the envelope. 5 Watch it bend. 3 A link to the lyrics sing365/music/lyric.nsf/Lateralus-lyrics-Tool/D879C6BEFCA2AA0548256A57002CF25C (scan the comments for some epic lyrical interpretations) A link to the actual recording with annotations https://youtube/watch?v=wS7CZIJVxFY Wish I could teach Humanities 1 and dissect this in class. ^_^
