Time to think, oh ye Follower(s)! --Ghandi Kenny OKUNUGA My - TopicsExpress

Time to think, oh ye Follower(s)! --Ghandi Kenny OKUNUGA My people, the Ekiti situation is un-explainable. It is the followers who should think and refuse to be used for dirty job(s). No life is worth sacrificing for power. Come to think of it, not everybody will be appointed in the end. So, why try to die for something which is not automatically yours? In the end, just a very few number of the many people who are shouting will eat the sweet cake. The few may not even remember you. You know how a typical Nigerian politician can behave. Since the beginning of this scenario, no where have I read that either Fayemi or Fayose was touched. All I read is Another staunch supporter(follower) of LAGBAJA and TEMEDU has been either killed, harassed, insulted or kidnapped. What for? E je ki a si medo o. What will be will always be! Risking ones life for any politician is just A LITTLE different from those SUICIDE bombers we read of everyday. NO fame in it. Unfortunately, it is not ACTIVISM, it is RASCALITY, SELF-VIOLENCE and THUGERY. No sane society will celebrate such. Those suicide bombers can even be said to be better than them, in the sense that in some cases, when they embark on a suicide mission, their families get paid, awesomely. Anyone who dies in a case of political violence of this nature dies carelessly and inflicts a lifetime pain on his/her family. The governorship seat is not an inherance of anybody. So, today just may not be your turn. You can also get there anyday. Regardless of where we belong, either in the conservatives or in the progressives, we are Nigerians, Nigeria belongs to all of us. We are all suffering and we all have children, brothers, sisters and friends who have certificates but with no job. We are the oppressed and we shouldnt be fighting one another. So, why kill ourselves? Why not see one another as brothers and sisters of the same blood? Why, why, why? Sadly, let any of these leaders get a slight wound, they wont be treated in any of our hospitals here. The un-equipped hospitals here are meant for I and You. The journey to and fro London, America, Germany, etc in their eyes is like Ondo-town to Akure. So, why risk your life? Even if any politician wants to constitute nuisance, why not tell him eyes to eyes that you are not meant for that and that is not what you represent? You are not Angel Micheal who should fight for him and if truly he is a Just, then, HIS JUST SHOULD LIVE BY FAITH. The truth is the same everywhere. Everyday, the kind of politics people play in Nigeria pisses me off. It is not encouraging. Unfortunately, the slaves in chain continue to kill themselves. The happening in Ekiti at the moment is pathetic. The Law is meant for man and no one is above the law. Our legal Institutions should not be molested in anyway. I blame all on the Security operatives who refused to curtail it at the initial stage. I watched on ChannelsTV and I cant but shake my head. I saw the security men stood and the only thing they did was that they shot tear-gas into the air. In their presence, a Judge was molested. In their presence, the Court was brought to zero-fame. It is a shame. But what can people like us do? Simply nothing! I believe every follower has an home. Even if you dont love yourself. Think about the un-ending psycological stress your friends, parents, wife, child(ren), brother(s), sister(s) will face when you die. They wont pray for you. Violence only kills! Please think! Think! Think! Little can people like us do, Commonsense is what can do it all. ...writing from the top of Olumo rock!
