Timing is very important to God. Solomon, in all his wisdom spoke of a season for every purpose under heaven. Those loyal to God are supposed to understand the seasons... they are supposed to know the purposes and the plans in each season. In fact, we are in a very important season...we are actually entering into the time that the Lord will be harder to be found by those not actively trying to get ready for the wedding that is about to tale place. This doesnt get taught much, so it might sound new to you, but this is MANY places in the Bible. Listen to this very commonly used passage that is almost never used in context...it is actually an end time passage in its context: Isaiah 55:6-9 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord , And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord . “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. God is telling Isaiah that there WILL come a time of trouble arranged by God, and that not seeking the LORD BEFORE the wave of trouble breaks on the earth will leave people very vulnerable to the plan of God to sift or shake the earth. LOTS of people love to talk about the harvest...bringing in the harvest...few love to talk about the threshing that comes with the harvest! Jesus came to THRESH... that means UNITY by SEPARATION. Getting rid of everything that doesnt belong. Threshing is the act of throwing the whole lump gathered in from the harvest into the wind and let the wind (trouble and intensity) blow away what isnt a true grain. This should be very sobering news for the church, but it isnt... the church could mostly, just judging by the public conversations she is having, care less about the threshing she is being subject to right now... but Jesus CAME to thresh: Matthew 3:11-12 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Now, you might be tempted to think: Hes talking about believers and unbelievers... I dont need to think about that!. Wrong. The threshing STARTS in the church. Judgment STARTS in the church. This is called tribulation. Once the church is threshed, then the world gets threshed BY the participation of the Bride. Seven divided churches go into tribulation, one pure and spotless Bride comes out... that is because the rest got sifted! I Peter 4:16-19 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator. Peter was clear: the church will get sifted first, by tribulation, because THAT is what Jesus said. Jesus told His friends exactly how this worked: birthpains, the tribulation for the church, then the great tribulation for the rest of the world as the Bride operated in spotlessness gathering in the harvest (preaching the gospel) by reflecting an increasing measure of His glory, as that same glory (light) literally burned up the chaff in the fire of Gods glorious appearing, then Jesus would return at the end of the great tribulation (the end of the age of sin), not to take everyone away, but to establish the garden of Eden on earth again with His spotless Bride: Matthew 24:7-14 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. See what Jesus says the sifting (being tossed into the winds of trouble) will produce in the church?: offense, then betrayal, the hatred between brethren, then false teaching, lawlessness, and then the love of many growing cold... all in the Church. Endurance is required. Those who endure will be pure and spotless preaching the gospel in signs and wonders right until Jesus returns to take over everything. The pure and spotless Bride who endures the sifting, she will be glorious...growing more and more like Jesus...brighter and brighter... holier and holier... this will be very disruptive to the darkness and it will make the earth very intense, but it WILL get the earth ready to receive her king. He is so bright that your eyes need to be adjusted to get ready to see Him: I Timothy 6:14-16 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. This is another great end time passage (there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, in the Bible) describing what will adjust the eyes of the earth to get ready to behold Him: grow in spotlessness and blamelessness. If you dont agree with this, then the fiery glow of His appearing will be very uncomfortable for you. He will first start burning in the heart of His bride. Her zeal, love, and desire for holiness will be very disruptive to the sleepy parts of the church, add a little pressure from the world and you have some good threshing winds blowing, just ripe for the offense, betrayal, and lawlessness to break out. It is already starting...look around. Do you see it? This is what will endure the tribulation and prepare you for the great tribulation: Seek Him NOW... find out what He is doing, why He is doing it, and how to be ready for it NOW... while He may be found. That is where we started this train of thought. Right now, restraint is being lifted from the earth. Evil men are getting more of their way and it is showing up in the news. Many in the church dont want to think about what is happening all around them. They dont want to watch the news, they dont want to be disrupted from their comfortable lives and make studying the end time events a priority. They say freely these are the last days but they do nothing to find out what that means or what is required. Way more righteousness is available right now...way more power in the Spirit is available right now, but you have to actively seek Him for it! Many just want to sleep...no one knows the hour...it will all work out...this is the voice of the sleepers. God says to them ok, Ill give you what you want!. If you want to sleep through the most glorious hour of the preparation of the Bride, God will actually HELP you... we live in the hour that everyone is getting more of what they want spiritually. If sleep and rest are what you want, you are being supernaturally empowered to SLEEP...God promises to honor the dignity of your desire... BUT, the fire is growing hotter either way! The wedding events ARE progressing whether or not you are! The nations ARE gathering in the middle east. It is clear. They ARE gathering against Israel...also clear. Few are awake, and few even want to be! This should be very sobering. Here is another end time passage: Isaiah 29:8-14 It shall even be as when a hungry man dreams, And look—he eats; But he awakes, and his soul is still empty; Or as when a thirsty man dreams, And look—he drinks; But he awakes, and indeed he is faint, And his soul still craves: So the multitude of all the nations shall be, Who fight against Mount Zion.” Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink. For the Lord has poured out on you The spirit of deep sleep, And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers. The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, “Read this, please.” And he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read this, please.” And he says, “I am not literate.” Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.” God is talking to believers here! They draw near with their mouths Jesus Jesus but their hearts are far from Him. Jesus warned over and over: unless you get fully engaged in the end time plans, you will suffer much loss. When the day of the wedding comes like a thief that means those not ready will suffer much loss! Jesus told His DISCIPLES... you know Peter, James, John...to be ready or they would suffer loss. Being saved aint the same as being ready: Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. You are being sifted RIGHT NOW. Do you know that? ISIS, Ebola, Israel, an emerging police state, a very lawless government, an economy that is clearly unsustainable, kids murdering kids, hatchet wielding terrorists... soon, agreeing the fundamental truths of the Bible will be seen as not just intolerant, but a hate crime... if you love Jesus you will be hated by ALL nations (that includes this one). This is threshing. Are you ready? Are you awake?... or do you just want to not think about it? It will all work out, Jesus loves me.. He does, but do you really love Him enough to care about the very specific wedding plans He has made?...plans that involve His Bride actually getting dressed up and beautiful because she knows the hour she is going to walk down the aisle? Deep sleep is promised if sleep is what you want, but the fire is burning and it will consume every one not choosing to grow in purity, spotlessness, and truth. The wedding is going to happen...but will you even know? Will you be ready and clothed like you cared in advance? Matthew 22:1-14 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Revelation 19:7-8 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
