Tina Bingel asked, It is our first year homeschooling. I have a 6-year-old going into first grade Her writing skills/grammar skills are on par with her age. However, her reading and comprehension skills are very advanced {5th/6th grade level}. I am looking for a curriculum {NON Common Core aligned/independent, Christian-based} that has flexibility in the language arts to substitute higher level readers/books with age appropriate grammar/spelling/writing and that lays it out for me. Sonligh told me they tie their readers to the grade {so if I selected 3rd grade readers it would mean 3rd grade writing paragraphs, etc). Memoria Press - sounds good - but she has already read all the books in their curriculum many times up to 5th grade. A Beka does not look like a good fit as it is not book/literature based. Thank you and looking for your advice.
