Tina, Tim (Toolman), and I worked til after dark constructing a start of a platform stand. 8ft + off the ground. Got the floor finished and since it was late we put one of our pop up blinds on it where we can hunt it in the morning. While we were putting the floor on a fawn came within 20 yrds, and then decided he had came to close. The whole time we were working on it you could hear deer, and no doubt they heard us because we talked the whole time. As I was securing the pop blind to it Tina became all excited because something was in the woods headed to us. I told her not to worry because it was just deer. She insisted she needed the flashlight I was using, where she could see what it was. At night in the woods she always wants to know what is there. Not like I would call a coyote or something in. :) Anyway to finish this story, when I shined my light here is a doe coming right for us, she stayed about fifteen yrds away, and to make it all the more cool, I kept talking to her the whole time, even raised my voice some to make sure she could hear. She didnt listen to well cause I told her not to run into my trailer, which she did. Hopefully tomorrow morning they will still be noisy and visiting the new neighbors place.
