Tina found dye in an applesauce POUCH: ...why does a product that is never even SEEN need to be dyed?!?! Her full post: We love to give our son fruit pouches for a quick snack, no mess, no dyes, no HFCS, etc. Weve bought many packs of Motts applesauce pouches, among other brands. We were excited to see this new flavor at the store today because he loves mango. Ive become so accustomed to these products being safe that I didnt check the ingredients when I bought them. I handed him one tonight and just happened to check the ingredients list before he opened it. HFCS AND yellow 6!!! I went to their website to see if they were changing their formulas on the others and found that the Original flavor also has HFCS but none others have dyes. These will be going back to the store tomorrow. I dont understand why applesauce needs HFCS but even more so, why does a product that is never even SEEN need to be dyed?!?! Angry and frustrated boy and parents. ***** Good point, Tina. And others of the same product, different flavors use vegetable colors instead. Always read the labels and - Please share...
