Tingathe Technical Advisor (TTA) Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Malawi (BCM-CFM) is a non-profit organization working in partnership with the Malawi Government in the health sector. Our mission is to improve the health and lives of HIV-infected children and families through high quality, high impact, highly ethical, state of the art comprehensive care and treatment, health professional training and conducting clinical research. Through its outreach arm, the Tingathe Program, BCM _CFM assists the Ministry of Health (MOH) in improving Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT), Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) and Paediatric HIV care and treatment services in Malawi. BCM-CFM seeks to engage the services of a highly qualifies professional to facilitate the transition of the Tingathe program into its 2015 strategy. The position is with immediate effect. Reporting Relationships: working closely with the Implementation Director, the TTA reports directly to the Tingathe Medical Director. He/she supervises all clinical and non clinical staff directly involved in program implementation. Job Description · Help facilitate program review and identify necessary strategic programmatic changes related to PMTCT and paediatric services and help to implement these changes · Establish and strengthen relationships with MOH and other key partners in the districts of operation. · In consultation with MOH and other key partners, develop an MoU to outline roles and responsibilities of each partner for effective project implementation and sustainability · Develop and compile tools for effective paediatric mentorship · Coordinate trainings · Assist with development of supervision processes · Conduct baseline data assessment and analysis · Work closely with human resource and finance teams to effectively manage personnel, finances and program assets Strong candidates should have the following qualities: · Self starter with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) · Ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure · Highly organized · Strict adherence to deadlines and ability to prioritise conflicting abilities · Strong interpersonal skills · Ability to motivate others, set priorities and direct others’ work · Ability to assess talent · Strong multi-faceted managerial skills · Ability to deal with ambiguity · Experience with leadership · Strong integrity and trustworthiness Interested candidates should have the following · 5+ years of post clinical training and experience (clinician, nurse, medical assistants may apply) · 5+ years of non-profit management experience with substantial knowledge and experience with project design and implementation of donor funded HIV/AIDS projects and monitoring and evaluation. · Familiarity with USAID and PEPFAR guidelines · Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health or any related fiend Eligible candidates should address their applications, including a detailed curriculum vitae and names of three traceable referees who are not their relations to: The Executive Director Baylor Children’s Foundation – Malawi P/B B397 LILONGWE Location: Lilongwe Employment Type: Contractual Salary: N/A Job deadline: 2014-10-10 Company: Baylor College of Medicine Childrens Foundation - Malawi (BCM - CFM)
