Tintin my male G.ternatensis has molted likely due to the new - TopicsExpress

Tintin my male G.ternatensis has molted likely due to the new environment stress from the whole change and moving about in compartments...cant say I am not a little bit concerned though. I saw what appeared to be old shell molting poking around the corner from one of the PVC entries and since I wanted to remove it the best thing that came to mind for extracting it from within the burrow was to actually try and suck it out via syphon hose, it worked and I sucked out what I think was most of the actual old shell... However digging through it gave me a slight startle...there is flesh, there should be no flesh or well not flesh but you get what I mean (interior)...this has got me worried that Tintin might in fact be dead...and what I removed are his actual remains...Im not sure but I have not seen him in a few days now (typical for a molting animal) but if he does not show his face in a few more days...Ill have to look for myself, if he is there I will back off and let him be likely still getting solid but if he isnt then he is dead... Time will tell.
