Tiny rant for a Sunday morning. Am always grateful for Amazon reviews, always, even the critical ones, but sometimes my dont respond rule gets sorely tested. Here are a few examples from the reviews for Under a Silent Moon on Amazon: Elizabeth uses the trauma from her childhood in her position as an FBI profiler - say what?? One of my complaints about previous work was that Haynes set the story in the US and then used Britishisms. While I am as much an Anglophile as anyone it did not sound authentic coming from American characters. - Grrrrr. I havent written anything set in the US, ever. I set things in the UK and then they get Americanised. I loved the authors Mortal Remains, but this novel is a truly major disappointment after that chiller. - Who wrote Mortal Remains?? Wasnt me.... Rant over. I am grateful really!!
