Tip #3-If you have ignored all of the rest dont ignore this one. I need to explain rest days because I am seeing a lot of logs at roughly the same calories on rest days as workout days. Rest days the goal is to switch to fats as a fuel (same goes for the time outside of your activity). So fats, proteins and fibrous vegetables. This doesnt mean just eat more fat because that is not a great formula for using stored body fat as fuel. So not only should your carbs be lower SO SHOULD YOUR CALORIES! Why, well you arent doing much so you shouldnt need as much energy. Doesnt mean zero carb or even super drastic but it should be lower. Remember that old approach when you would do a challenge and the workouts would suck for 2 to 3 weeks but the scale would continuously go down. This isnt like that. Its much more gradual but what we have found and its actually pretty well known is that if you keep a strategy that gradually has you in a deficit on occasion its a great formula for keeping fat in check and potentially losing fat depending on how aggressive you want (or should be). Way too many of you guys are wanting to lose fat using bad math, get the math right and lets do this the easy way (what I mean when I say this is that your under eating on your workout days making your fat loss harder as a result). Want to go lower with carbs or calories, DO IT ON REST DAYS! #exercisetogetbetteratexercise #eattoperform
