Tip Of The Day: “Taking It Personally” It’s not often that becoming happily employed stems from an immediately perfect equation. Throughout the process, you’re likely to find plenty of jobs that you think you are perfect for while the employer doesn’t see it quite the same way. Likewise, many companies may find you a perfect match for their position while you have very little interest in them. Even when an interview goes smoothly, there could be another candidate with more experience and more know-how than you, resulting in that person getting the offer rather than you. Though you should not take it personally, the bottom line, any way you slice it, is that rejection hurts. However, if you follow the simple rules of job search etiquette, when a position opens up they’ll likely think of you.
