Tip of the Day. - Acrylics - Ill be honest, I had forgotten how much fun painting with acrylics could be. Looking for a quick and easy background? Grab a few colors and mottle the background. Coat the canvas with a light coat of gesso and start adding color. The secret is a wide brush and work fast. Be careful, you dont want to overwork it or let it dry. The plus side is you can pre mottle backgrounds and store them for future use AND since theyre done in acrylics you can use them for acrylic or oil paintings. Theyre quick, easy and fun! Be creative.
