Tip of the day It is advisable to pay a visit to your child’s pediatrician before you go on a vacation. Give him / her details of the places you intend to visit. Apprise him / her of the climatic condition of those regions during the time of your visit. Ask for advice as to what precautions to be taken and what medicines to carry in case the child falls ill. Also, check the vaccination record of your child to see if any vaccine is to be administered during your vacation and what alternative can be worked out. Also, find out what kind of clothing the child should wear. This is especially required in case of extreme weathers. Lastly, take down the doctor’s mobile number, assure him / her that you would call only in an emergency situation and request him / her to attend the call in such circumstances.
