Tips I have learned from freezing large amounts of ice in the last 2 days: 1. The smaller the container, the faster it freezes. 2. Putting a lid on the container keeps you from spilling water all over your freezer and floor. 3. Some of the people in need cannot get to the handout stations, so I have been driving into hardest hit areas to deliver myself 4. It never hurts to ask for an ice or water donation at a business you are at. I had 2 bags donated yesterday and many more today. These businesses asked for discretion, though, as their ice supplies are limited and have to serve their customers.
