Serato EASTER EGGS These are sometimes unintentional glitches that end up being pretty damn cool or hidden features that may be added in future versions. For example: In Scratch Live, load a track, click on the BPM tab, and type AM What does it do? Its called Anti-trainspotting or as some of us say Swiper no swiping It hides the track info so those over the shoulder gawkers cant hijack the song youre playing. Yes Shazam may work but with remixes it usually doesnt. _____ How about those damn BPMs that are crazy high like 160 when it should say 80? Easy... To get Serato to double or halve a BPM for you, you double-click the offending BPM in the library (as if to edit it manually), then hold ALT and press the up cursor arrow (to double the BPM), or the down cursor arrow (to halve it). _____ Have a controller that doesnt have a super filter knob? Easy....turn the high EQ and the low EQ knobs on the left-hand deck all the way down (to the left) and then all the way up (to the right) simultaneously and quickly, three or four times. The screen will say “you’re onto something!”, then instruct you to press ALT & , together. Do it, and you’ll unlock the feature. ____ Want to use Smart Crates in Serato DJ? Easy... download Itch, build your smart crates, close Itch, and then open SDJ. BAM! Itch & Serato DJ use the same file system so the smart crates will show up. _____ Yes, there are many more and yes, it depends on which version you have. Things like having sound reactive waveforms in Itch may very well come in handy (hint hint)....so take the time to search around and play with these Easter Eggs.
