Tips for better IELTS results: Many people dont know that reading, spoken and listening are the same or similar in Academic and General Training versions. Reading in academic version has only 10% extra complexity. Also the marking criteria in both academic reading and general has hell lot difference. If you pass 23 in academic then you can get 6 bands where in general you need at least 30 to get 6 bands. To get 7 each you require 30 correct answers in listening as well as in reading in academic version however 34 in reading in general training version. I feel academic is easier than general. Also i always recommend people to use 312 pattern. It means when you do reading tasks start with the last section i.e 3. Then section 1 and then section 2. Because section 3 is the most difficult and if you manage to do it in 25 minutes then you should target to finish section 1 in 12-15 minutes. Then 15 minutes for section 2. IELTS is more like a time challenge rather than a test of English language proficiency! I hope you will remember my tips and will try once with better results.
