Tips on renovation: If you want to renovate a building or a house, make it sure before proceeding that how much deformation it has undergone. In other words, How old it is? Position of steel in slab? How much seepage is undergoing ( reasons can be many)? What is the position of conduit pipes ( electrical or sanitary)? What is the level of road & sewrage lines as compared to your building house plinth level in current scenario? If your architect suggests to demolish it, dont hesitate for the sake of 3-4 lac rupees, since it might take triple to get it in shape. Still it will not be as per your sweet wish & at the end of the day, you will not be a satisfied lot. Nobody, but you will be responsible for that. In case things r in control & architects agree immediately, then its always better to renovate it. ER Sachin Kumar Arora
