Tired Teacher (Parent & Teacher): I am a former DCSD teacher who left the district in October. Since then, I have received two e-mails (and both on the same days I posted something using my own name on this site - which have been the only times - coincidentally enough?) from DCSD HR asking me to please complete the Teacher Oath form that they say I neglected to fill out when I did my onboarding in August. (I have never seen this form before today - the first e-mail did not attach it and told me to go back into the onboarding system to get it.) Before and after DCSD, I taught in another Colorado school district and have never heard of this oath. Are teachers in DCSD really expected to sign this? Have I been hacked? Have they been hacked? (Seriously.) Below is the e-mail (I am unable to attach the oath itself or to cut and paste from it; it is in a PDF.) Urgent! Employee Oath Needed ASAP! In an effort to complete your onboarding tasks in Taleo, our records indicate that we do not have a copy of your Employee Oath. It is imperative that we receive this information as soon as possible, since we are currently not in compliance with state regulations. Attached you will find a copy of the oath that we need you to complete including having it signed, stamped and/or sealed by a Notary. Please scan it and email back to us at this address and be sure to include your name, employee number, and Oath in the subject line. If you have previously sent this to us, we ask that you kindly re-send it so that we have it for our records. Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter. If you have any questions, please contact us via email or at 720-433-0140. Sincerely, HR Records Department cc: Site Principal or Hiring Manager, and Site Secretary
