Tit-Bits [On Request From @ Ankit Kumar, Jamshedpur. - For Liking my comments Posted on some other website. So, I decided to write those lines again in this Page. Thanks Ankit for liking the comments & Ankit, I am not a student of BA (history Hon.)...:). Here it goes: ....................I am very glad to know that now the western scholars are not putting forward their Invasion Theory, blaming it (The invasion of Aryans) for the downfall and collapse of Ancient Harappa-Mohenjodaro Civilizations (or better to say Saraswati River valley civilization). Climatic changes obviously must have had played a key role. Somehow the river Saraswati began to dry. Saraswati must not be considered as a Mythical River. Rig Veda mentions the name of Saraswati 72 times (Ambitame, naditame, devitame Saraswati). Drying of Saraswati and Indus basin resulted in Eastward migration- that is towards the Gangetic plains. There even might have been an Out of India migration towards west (to Iran, Turkey etc.), because ‘Zend Avesta’ too mentions the names like: Agni, Mithra-Varuna, Haraxwati (Saraswati) etc. ........................People or Scholars who believe that Aryans came from Central Asia (Iran, Turkey,) or from parts of Russia, can never actually state then WHY was Rig Veda composed ABSOLUTELY in this holy Land (Aryavarta) and not in Iran or other parts of Central Asia ? If Aryans migrated to India, then why did they compose Vedas here on the banks of Saraswati and Ganges??? Why not on the banks of Volga River....or Amu Darya and syr darya???? The mention of Haraxwati river and Agni, Mithra-Varun in Zend Avesta (holy book of the Parses) clearly indicates that an offshoot from India had migrated westward from Indus. ARYAVARTA IS THE ORIGINAL HOMELAND OF OUR ANCIENT ANCESTORS. .............................Rig Veda and other Sanskrit literature mention the names: Aryavarta, Jambudweep, Bharat and even Panchnad Pradesh. The word Arya actually means noble. The word ‘Arya’ never denoted a Race. It was used for people following a noble lifestyle (certain principles and fundamentals). Similarly, ‘Rakshasas’ (non- Aryans) were not demons, they were normal human beings who followed a different life style (non-agricultural) less civilized lifestyle (though even this terminology will not be very appropriate). ‘Linga Puja’ was definitely a very ancient Indian practice- might have originated during the Saraswati valley civilization. All are most welcome to express their viewpoint and share their comments.
