Ellen White states: “Practical benevolence will give spiritual life to thousands of nominal professors of the truth who now mourn over their darkness. It will transform them from selfish, covetous worshipers of mammon to earnest, faithful co-workers with Christ in the salvation of sinners” (Testimonies, Volume 3, p. 387). Martin Luther once said, ”I have held many things in my hand, and have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands that I still possess.” Appeal: We are partners with God in the blessings of benevolence. As we bless others so we ourselves are also blessed. As we give today we will be a blessing and we will be blessed.
