Title: “I care about the environment” (action 1.1.) Planned Date and Venue: 20. – 28. April, 2014; Ventspils, Latvia Topic: Sustainable environment, air pollution, water pollution, land-based pollution, environmental protection, global warming. Objective: The aim of this project is to raise awareness of sustainable environment. Nowadays people do not realize what actually is happening with environment. We are making a lot of pollution every day, but we dont think what consequence it causes. It is important to show people possibilities to live different and more friendly to the environment. Methodology: The training will be mainly based on interactive non-formal learning methods (such as group discussions, presentations, simulation exercises, role-plays, etc.), nevertheless, it will include also a small research on the topic and discussions with professionals. Also we are planning to organize joint work and other public events to interact with local society and remind how important it is to care about our future – environment. Participants: 4 participants (age 18-25) + 1 leader (no age limit) from each country; totally 6 countries (Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Turkey, Italy) Conditions: Accommodation and food cost will be financed through European Commission Youth in Action Programme (Action 1.1.). 70% of eligible travel costs (cheapest means and fares) from home to the venue of the project and return will be reimbursed.
