Title: Senior Project Engineer Duration: Direct Hire Location: Houston, TX Job Description: A global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications to include Deep Water Pipeline Repair Systems. Built-to-order specialty subsea hardware, deepwater BOP Stacks, non-destructive testing and inspections, POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for directing the technical efforts from initial sales order through final design, with minimal supervision or direction. This will include completing and supervising the design layouts, bills or material, technical documentation, and drawings in accordance with OSI and contractual requirements. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for maintenance of the engineering schedule with respect to release of the engineering documents. The Senior Project Engineer will have direct technical interface with the customer’s technical representative and the Project Manager. LOOKING for experience with API 6A (Specification for Wellhead and Christmas Tree Equipment) expert in connector and collars, and API 17D (Design and Operation of Subsea Production Systems-Subsea Wellhead and Tree Equipment) standards. DNV OFS 101 and ASME sec viii exposure a plus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare and supervise design layouts in accordance with OSI and contractual requirements. • Prepare and supervise bills of material in accordance with OSI and contractual requirements. • Prepare and supervise technical documentation in accordance with contractual requirements. • Prepare and supervise detailed drawings created from design layouts in accordance with contractual requirements. • Prepare and supervise design calculations in accordance with OSI and contractual requirements. • Meet with customers’ technical representatives regarding technical issues and schedule. • Meet with customers and engineering personnel for equipment design reviews. • Maintain project schedules and prepare progress reports. Qualifications: • BSME or equivalent accredited engineering degree. • Ten years previous mechanical engineering experience. • Excellent verbal and written communications. • Superior mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. • Must be very organized and able to handle several tasks at one time. • Advanced working knowledge of computers and software (CAD, word processing, and spreadsheets).
