Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost Salvation brings cleansing from our sins and the gift of a new, Spirit generated, Spirit empowered, and Spirit protected life as Gods children. This is the new birth. The old sinful person has passed and we are raised up into a newness of life according to the Bible. This is why we are fully dependent upon God for salvation. We are drawn to salvation by the spirit. Changed by the Spirit during salvation. After being saved we must walk in the Spirit. Our whole existence before God is dependent upon the Holy Spirit of God. Without this spirit inside us we could not live, worship, or serve God in a way that is pleasing to him. We as Christians need to take more time in understanding the third part of the trinity. Without him we would have no hope of one day seeing God.
