Tiwaringe crowned Miss Harare: The recently crowned Miss Harare 2013 Letwin Tiwaringe says she is now looking forward to represent Harare, Ruwa, Beatrice, Norton and Chitungwiza in the Miss Zimbabwe beauty pageant to be held later this year. The Harare model came first among 20 contestants who took part in the beauty pageant contest and walked away with $2000 among other vouchers. Lashana Hall and Pretence Gonyesa who were crowned first and second princess said they will support Miss Harare in her works with various charity organisations. The two will also represent Harare at the Miss Zimbabwe contest. Organiser of the event, Deborah Chidavaenzi said the Miss Harare licence includes satellite towns such as Ruwa, Beatrice, Norton and Chitungwiza. The Miss Harare pageant ran under the theme: ‘Developing the girl child through empowerment’. This year is the second time that Miss Zimbabwe Trust has organised the contest after taking over from the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. ZBC is the official partner of Miss Zimbabwe.
