To ALL members of the group. We NEED your help, PLEASE. Without help from the members of this group and the community, Purrfect Companions cannot function as it should. And sadly, the cats are the ones that will suffer. We are seriously trying our BEST but we need manpower and are very much in need of monetary donations as well. We almost had to cancel our Toronto TNR appointment today because we didnt have enough volunteers trapping cats. Brenda, as usual, used her break and entire lunch hour, trying to get cats so we could get them to the appointment. Live trapping is NOT hard to do. Definitely not rocket science. And while waiting for the traps to go off, you can sit and relax in your vehicle and read or check out your Facebook updates and veg out! LOL. So we would REALLY appreciate volunteers we can rely on to help with live trapping the evening before and morning of the appointments. We do not want to miss out on the FREE appointments in Toronto and they are literally only about once per month. If ONE male and ONE female cat are left unaltered and left to breed, between these two cats and their offspring in just 4 years (average life span of an outdoor cat) over 512 kittens can be produced. And this all started from just TWO CATS. That is why it is SO IMPORTANT that we get these cats spayed and neutered!!! EACH appointment in Toronto we can take 15 cats! Between 15 cats, in four years, we can prevent 3840 kittens from being born. That is A LOT of kittens. In 12 months (12 appointments) we can prevent 46,080 kittens from being born! Purrfect Companions is really IN THE RED right now. This has been an incredibly busy season and we have spayed and neutered dozens upon dozens of cats and kittens. And, until we get some of this debt paid off, we cannot continue with our appointments in London to have kittens and cats altered. I will be starting another GoFundMe to raise money for the vet bills that have been adding up. As you all can imagine I am sure, taking care of just ONE animal costs a load of money, but taking care of over 100 costs a true fortune. Again, we desperately need the kindness and generosity of the members of this group and community to continue helping those who cannot help themselves. Currently we need to raise OVER $3000 to help cover the vet bills. We are not even talking about food, litter, cleaning products, etc, JUST vet bills. ANY monetary contribution you can make would be SO appreciated at this time. GoFundMe is great for people who would like to donate using their credit card, but we are also accepting cheques, cash and etransfers which means MORE of what you donate will go directly to Purrfect Companions. With GoFundMe, there is a certain percentage taken off the donation that goes to GoFundMe and PayPal. Purrfect Companions is more than just a rescue. We all spend a great deal of our own time and money taking care of cats that others have simply discarded. We work our butts off, all hours of the day (and night at times). This isn’t a hobby and it isn’t something that we all overly enjoy doing (although at times it DOES have it perks). We are doing this because we all love animals and don’t want to see them suffering. We sincerely hope we can count on the other members of this group and community to help us help them. PLEASE don’t ignore our plea! Don’t just assume others will help! We need YOU!
