To All My Friends, Christian and otherwise! This has been a good week so far. It started out Monday.I start each day with my bible study. There is a great application on Kindle and I use the resources I get from church and of course, my Bible. After breakfast, I went to my water exercises over at the Joan Kroc Center in the morning. This has been money will spent. It costs me $30.00 a month and there is so much there to use. After I got back home I finished putting the apartment back together after helping by bestest friend, Mr. Willie, to clean the carpets on Saturday. Around 2:15 pm I headed east on 94 to get gas at a Circle K station just before you enter into Rancho San Diego. This is the cheapest station Ive found around here. I paid $3.50 a gallon. Not cheap, but a decent price in todays market. When I left there I drove over to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church to meet up with other church members/volunteers to carpool to downtown San Diego. First Lutheran Church is where the Third Avenue Charitable Organization is headquartered. Everyday, Monday through Friday, they provide dinner for anyone who comes. We got there about 3:30 pm and at 4 pm they start serving dinner. That have all the offerings spread out on long tables and we filled trays with whatever was in front of us as we passed it along to the end. The someone got the tray and a drink and passed it out to the people. I did that for about an hour and my sore lower back and my sore knees had enough. I got another member of the church to fill my place and went out on the patio to sit and one of the tables and cool off. Everyone there is soooooooooo friendly. I spoke to everyone I could around the table and standing in line for seconds and they were all so nice. At the table I was sitting at there was a you man holding his very young son and feeding them both. The man was pleasant and the son was so pretty. He had golden skin, blue eyes, and blond wispy slight curly hair. One of the prettiest young boys I have ever seen. When I had cooled off and rested I went back inside to see if I could relieve anyone. Nobody wanted any relief, so I went back outside and started busing the table. Introducing myself and talk talking to people as I went around the patio. As you have probably figured out by now, I have the gift for gab. I get it honestly. My father gave it to me and my sister, Carol, and I passed it on to my daughter. About 5:30 pm everything had been cleaned up. The tables and chairs had all been removed from the patio and our work was done. We headed back to church in La Mesa. When we got there I was suppose to stay until 6:30 pm for bible study, but I was just to sore and tired. I went home, had some dinner, took a hot bath and went to bed. On Tuesday I did my normal morning routine and a load of laundry. After, I tried to get caught up on my Kindle. The Kindle is incredible. It has a planner schedule, internet access, email, the weather, the news, Facebook, a video Im watching, and the book Im reading for the Book Club (Before Me and You written by Jojo Moyes). There are movies and videos, books, games, all kinds of applications, my pictures, etc. I want to get a picture of Mr. Willie cause hes my bestest friend. I had lunch and then I went to another water exercise class. When I got home I read my book some more and later had dinner. I watched some televisions, KPBS, its the best television around. There is sooooooooo much junk on regular television. Today, again my normal morning routine. I had a smallish watermelon so I cut it up and shared it with Mr. Willie and my neighbor Ernesto. Read my book for a while and then went to the Tone and Balance water exercise class at noon. Boy do I need it. I sure hope it will help with my balance. I have taken two serious falls this year alone. I came home after class and caught up with my Kindle. I had dinner, and now Im watching KPBS. They had this great nature program on tonight about three different kinds of penguins. The researchers have invented this artificial replicas of the penguins that walk, turn their heads, get back up if they fall down and the real penguins accept them as part of the group. Theyve also invented these artifical eggs with cameras inside them. The penguins try to had the eggs, and the eggs roll all over the place when the penguins realize theyre not real. It is so funny watching their antics and the rest of the things that happen in each of the three places where these penguins live. This technology is really incredible. THANK YOU Public Broadcasting. It so great to have channels that offer wonderful programming that is worth watching. Thats all for now. God Bless you all and keep you safe. Sally Raquet
