To All My Peeps: Congregation Beth Israel is in the home stretch - TopicsExpress

To All My Peeps: Congregation Beth Israel is in the home stretch of our Burn the Mortgage crowd funding effort! We are extending this campaign an extra day, Friday, in order to give everyone a chance to participate. Our goal is to raise a total of $600,000, putting us within reach of retiring the mortgage on our Learning Center and other renovations. Doing so is crucial to the health and viability of our precious community! Im pleased to report that the campaign has currently raised over $135,000, and counting! Our goal is 100% PARTICIPATION from within our community. So, no matter what you are able to give, it will be deeply appreciated. LET ME ALSO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY NOT BE MEMBERS OF CBI BUT WHO MAY HAVE BENEFITTED FROM THE WORK THAT WE DO AND THE PROGRAMS WE PROVIDE... For example, I know that many of you have sent your child or children to our Child Development Center preschool. Contributing to this campaign would be a great way to show your appreciation for the role that CBI played in your childs life and for the building in which they spent so many significant hours. Or maybe you regularly attend Torah Study or some other community program that we provide, like our Circle of Friends Alzheimers caregivers respite program. Or perhaps a member of our Clergy Team was there for you in a time of joy or sorrow. Or maybe you shared the life-changing Interfaith Thanksgiving Service we hosted a number of years ago when anti-Muslim prejudice necessitated a last-minute change of venue and our sanctuary was packed with a beautiful mosaic of religious and ethnic diversity. (Its never too late to give thanks for such things!) Or perhaps you are on the board of Interfaith Action Of Centeral Texas (iACT) and you are grateful for all the years Congregation Beth Israel has hosted iACTs board meetings! Or maybe your child was bar or bat mitzvah here, and youve since moved away. Perhaps you volunteer helping to house homeless families through our participation in the Interfaith Hospitality Network. We would love your participation, too! Finally, perhaps youre friends with one or more of the hardworking people on our Fund The Future board, like Gary L Solka, Stacey Rudnick, Harry Deitz, Patricia Hudson Burger, Adam Sadovsky, and Shelli Miller, and you want to honor this work that is so important to them. Come on, people, lets get this done! cbiburnthemortgage.org
