To All who Helped with the PRC Moms Night Out: I wanted to take - TopicsExpress

To All who Helped with the PRC Moms Night Out: I wanted to take a few moments to express my thanks and appreciation to you for your dedication and devotion by making this a very successful event. There is a saying that goes “we’re better together”, which basically means that even though each one of us are gifted in some way, and could accomplish many things on our own, the real difference is when we each take that God-given ability or talent and work as a team for His glory! I often pause to think what it would be like if we did not have wonderful volunteers to serve in our Ministries and to be quite honest, I don’t want to think on that too long! But as people are stepping up to volunteer, needs are being met that would have never been met, and people are growing in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ which is really our goal in the first place. Let me remind you of a great scripture that illustrates the importance of what we are doing; Matthew 25:35-40 (ESV) 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ When we can look into the faces we serve, and somehow see Jesus, it changes everything! It will help us keep perspective on why we do what we do, and keeps our motives pure and right before the Lord. So again, thank you! What a blessing you are to EBC, but beyond that, what a blessing you are to the people you serve, and of course, our precious Lord and Savior. Blessings in Christ! Pastor Jones
