Hey, Steve called over to Ray, What attacks does this thing have? This mutant has four attacks, said Ray, The first is its melee, where it hits you with the bow itself. The second is its grapple, where it traps you in its ribcage and sends you flying. The third is its ranged attack. It charges up its bow, and sends a large arrow at its target. It might make you nauseous or temporarily blind. Its last attack is its power shot. It launches into the air, and sends three arrows down at once. All I can say is: Run. Steve put his attention back to the mutant skeleton. A mutant skeleton, Steve thought to himself, How many are there? The mutant was slowly walking towards them, as Steve and Ray were charging at it. Ray saw it was about to jump up, but was immediately shot down by Jane. The mutant stumbled, and fell to a knee. Seeing his chance, Steve sprinted towards the mutant, attempting to behead the beast. The next thing Steve knew, the mutant skeleton regained its balance, and trapped Steve in its ribcage. Oh, no! Jane said to herself. She was about to line up her shop. No Jane! Yelled Ray, Dont try to shoot it! It could crush Steve if given the chance! Whatever you do, dont shoot it! Then... I wont, said Jane, as she fired multiple arrows, trying to miss the mutant. Seeing the mutant distracted, Ray ran up to the mutant, grabbed onto its ribcage, and sliced off ribs of the ribcage, leaving an exit for Steve. As Steve just got out, the pain brought the mutants attention back to Ray. It hit Ray with its bow, and sent him flying. THATS IT! Yelled Ray, as he got to his feet shortly after, I DIDNT WANT TO DO THIS, BUT YOU LEAVE ME NO CHOICE! Ray mumbled some strange words to himself, and the ground around him starting glowing brown. Ray opened his eyes, and Steve could see that they were filled with anger. TAKE THIS! Ray yelled to the mutant, who roared in return. The dirt around Ray lifted up, and hardened into stone. The new stone was sent flying to the mutant skeleton. It dodged, and it only made it angrier. The mutant skeleton jumped into the air to do its power shot at Ray. It released the arrows, only to be blocked by a stone shield that was under Rays control. The stone was then sent flying like a disk into what was left of the mutant skeletons ribcage, and the rest of the mutants bone shattered like they were glass. Afterwards Ray collapsed to the ground. Steve and Jane ran over to where Ray lay, now unconscious. They got to him to see a mark on the palm of his hand. The mark of the guardian. End of Chapter 3
