To: Elected Officials, A SOLUTION: Calling on all rap artists to take your place , calling on all men to take your place, all mothers, brothers, sisters...TAKE YOUR PLACE. Its time for all of us to get involved and take care of our children (UNITY IS KEY). We will demand from our councilmen to have our own community police (in each District in NYC) who will work with police and ensure every citizen is treated with respect. Those interested in being community police can work with their elected officials to figure out this process. We will demand that it be legal for anyone encountering difficulty from police, to at that any moment request the presence of, or to speak to a religious leader, if a lawyer is unavailable when a situation is escalating (in attempt to de-escalate violence). Officers not honoring this request should be disciplined, especially if it is caught on cell phone /body cam that the de-escalation attempt was made). WE CAN DEMAND FOR NEW POLICY & PROCEDURE TO ENSURE RESPECT & SAFETY OF EVERY CITIZEN. We are asking that this be taken before city council and considered along with other measures. Where there is a will, there is a way. This is how we make change peacefully. If you agree with this cut & paste this message or share it.
