To Jews, the claim that the writings of the N.T. are correct is hard to swallow. There are way to many contradictions between the TNKH (Hebrew Bible) and the N.T. (Christian’s Bible). What justification is there for saying that the N.T. supercedes the TNKH? The N.T. seems to teach that Yeshua (Jesus) is equal to the Creator. Torah teaches that the Creator is incorporeal and immutable. “Thus says the L-RD your Redeemer and Former from the womb: ‘I am the L-RD, Maker of everything, Who stretched the heavens alone and Who spread the earth by Myself.” - (Isaiah 44:24). “…for I am G-d and not a man, the Holy [One] in your midst, but I will not come into a city.” -(Hosea 11:9). The Almighty says He is not a man in addition to saying that He does not change: “…for I am the L-RD and I do not change, therefore you, O sons of Jacob are not consumed.” -(Malachi 3:6). Are we going to make Him into a liar by claiming that He “became flesh?” Heaven forbid! For “‘G-d’ is not a man that He may lie, nor a son of man that He may feel compunction.” -(Numbers 29:19). There are passages in the N.T. which seem to teach that the Torah (the Instruction divinely given to Moses) is no longer applicable to mankind as it was before Jesus came, whether completely or partially: Regarding the commandments of the Torah it is commanded: “The entire thing which I am commanding you– you shall observe it to do it; you shall not add unto it, nor diminish from it.” -(Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32). But look at a few of the contradictions in the N.T.: Colossians 2:16-17 says, “Therefore no one should act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day– things which are merely a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.” Galatians 5:2 says, “Behold I, Paul, declare to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you.” Ephesians 2:15 says, “..in his flesh he abolished the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances…” But Jews know darn well that: Leviticus 19:17 & 19 states, “You shall not hate your brother in your heart; you must certainly rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him…19 You shall keep My statutes…” Genesis 17:12-13 states, “And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, …thus shall My covenant be in your flesh as an everlasting covenant.” Numbers 15:15 states, “As for the community (of Israel), there shall be one law for you and for the one who converted and joined with you; An eternal Law throughout your generations, as you are, so shall the convert be before the ALL-TRANSCENDENT One.” Deuteronomy 29:29 states, “…the hidden things belong to the L-RD our G-d, but that which is revealed belongs to us and our sons forever to do all the words of this Torah.” There are passages in the N.T. which seem to teach that the People of Israel are cast away or replaced. The Torah teaches that the People of Israel are set-apart for a distinct purpose forever: Psalm 147:19-20 “He declares His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel. He has not done so with any other nations; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them.” Deuteronomy 14:2 “For you are a holy people unto the L-RD thy All-Powerful Authority, and the L-RD hath chosen you to be His own treasure out of all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.” 2nd Samuel 7:24 “..You have established for Yourself Your People Israel as Your own people FOREVER,….” Psalm 105:10-11 “Then He confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an EVERLASTING covenant, saying, ‘To you I shall give the Land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance,’” Deuteronomy 18:5 “For the L-RD your All-Powerful Authority has chosen them [tribe of Levi] and their descendants out of all your tribes to stand and minister in the L-RD’s name FOREVER.” Jeremiah 31:36 “Thus says the L-RD: If the heavens above could be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then also would I cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says the L-RD.” Leviticus 26:43-44 “…and they shall be given the punishment of their transgression; because, as a consequence of their having rejected my judgments, and their souls having abhorred my statutes. AND YET DESPITE ALL THIS, even while they are in the land of their enemies, I will NOT reject them, neither shall I abhor them so as to eradicate them and thus break My Covenant with THEM - for I am the ALL-TRANSCENDENT their Venerable-Authority.”
