To My Mum ♥♥♥ 9 Years ago, you left us, we knew that this was going to happen, but no matter how prepared one is, one is never really prepared to lose their Mum.....You suffered so much, but you had so much dignity...When you left us, the only consulation that I could give myself that night, standing beside your bed, brushing your hair, is that your are no long in pain..... The days after to me were in a haze, but I put together a funeral, wrote your eulogy, and your service....everything had to be just so....because you and dad were the best thing that had ever happened to me. Your love was unconditional, not too many parents can say that....you did it well, Joycie....lol....just joking Mum, you will appreciate that..... Dad praised my on what I had done, and words from him did not come easy as you know. I love you so much always will, that lady who fought with a stubborn little 5 year old, about having a ribbon in her hair....and soon as I was out of the gate, it came out as quick as could be....but you knew all that, when I came home from school....I remember at the end of your funeral I just sat there, did not want to move, because I felt I was leaving you all alone.....Dad said come on, she is ok.... and I got up and moved....dont know how I did it, it had impacted on me so much...you loved your roses and carnations....so you got the lot...lol... Your love for children and babies...you were such a wonderful mum and grandmother.....and greatgrandmother....I know that dad and I stood beside your bed when time was close, he told me to be strong but I told you all the things that I did as kid that you didnt know about.....so innocent when I think of them, but to you at the time, I was the eldest and had to lead by example..... My darling Joycie, thank you for loving me, showing me how to love, and being the best mother that I could ever imagine having.....R.I.P. my lovely..... Your darling Lynnie......♥♥♥♫♫♫☺☺☺
