To My Students Something Ive always known and taught, but really had verified this week. Respect, Authority, Discipline, Leadership. All are achieved in only one way. Not by appointment or title. But only through the combined use of: ones own example, giving respect first, the use of a quiet little word, please, used honestly, followed by liberal use of the word Thank You in its many forms. Through humble introspection, we could all stand to examine if our failure to achieve outcomes from others is their fault, or is it, more likely, the result of our own failure to be gracious.
