To all Al Riders This Saturday, the 13th, is "The School Supply Run for Foster Kids of Citrus County". This event is hosted by Harley Davidson of Crystal River in Homosassa and starts at 12:00 and runs until 3:00 with beer, food,and live music. You just need to bring some school supply as a donation. Assistant Road Captain Robin Gardner has checked with Wal Mart and the list of preferred supplies is available. Lets make this a group ride displaying our AL Riders banners, vests, etc. meeting at the Post at 12:30, leaving at 1:00 with a safety meeting prior to leaving. While I realize these briefings can become redundant, we must be on the same page. Safety is imperative. In order to avoid making a U-Turn to get to Crystal River Harley Davidson we will use the following route. From Post #155 head North on Hwy 44, Right onto W. Norvell Bryant Highway, Right onto N. Meadowcrest Blvd., Left at the stop light onto Hwy. 44, right onto Rock Crusher Rd., right onto West Homosassa Trail., right onto US 19 arriving at Harley Davidson on the Right. Also this Saturday Hernando Post #4252 (the one with the Helicopter) is having a day of activities starting with a Bar-B-Que at 1:00 p.m. They will also have a band, door prizes, 50/50 etc. Cut off time for the food was 7/3/2013 so if you have not made reservation, we will need to grab a bite at Crystal River Harley Davidson. I have no time set to leave Harley Davidson for Post #4252 it will depend on the weather (how hot), how things go at Harley Davidson and the desires of the group. Ride Safe........Ride Smart Tom P.
