To all GFOA members: There are many reasons why we officiate. One of the most satisfying reasons for me is walking onto the field and seeing the relieved facial expression on the coach that knows he has a great crew tonight. The greatest indication of wisdom is the realization that one doesn’t know everything. It is important that we as GFOA officials work hard to improve our rule knowledge and mechanics continuously. Working hard and staying abreast of rule knowledge and mechanics will enable us to maintain the high standards and high ratings established by the distinguished men before us who were instrumental in structuring this fine organization. Being a good GFOA Official begins with preparation. It is important for each of you to take advantage of the study sessions, study groups and the GHSA camps designed to ensure continued overall success. We expect full participation from all members.
