To all Members of the Houston Firefighters Relief and Retirement Fund, I want to take this opportunity to thank the Firefighters and their families for their continued support of the Board of Trustees and Staff. This ongoing non support by Mayor Parker against the Firefighters ( HFRRF and L-341 ) has been and will continue for as long as she is in office . When this Mayor pushes her agenda against the HFRRF without City Council approval , that shows she totally has a vendetta against us. Mayor Parker wants to get her hands on the HFRRF and use that money for her pet projects . Do not allow this Mayor to discourage you in the least, she does not discourage us. We were here before her and we will be here long after she is gone. As a citizen and taxpayer of Houston , I am furious at the wasting of taxpayer money by this Mayor. This recent lawsuit is a prime example. I will continue expressing my thoughts on this issue to the Council Members along with the Houston Delegation Members plus the Chronicle. We all know the Chronicle will not print letters from HFRRF but feel free to voice your concerns to them.
